The Orchard Country Hotel is not just a hotel; it's a home and our guests are treated as good friends. The south facing sitting rooms are spacious, light and airy. Next to the dining room there is a small bar and we offer an interesting selection of wines. 
The Golden Fleece is a family run Inn, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Carol and Paul Bloomfield have been serving up traditional home cooked food for the past 6 years and have built up an excellent local reputation. Joan & Robin welcome you to Lindens. Our friendly family run bed and breakfast is situated at the top of Chard high street with excellent surroundings and facilities. Lindens has five main bedrooms, of which 3 are full en-suite, 2 double, with room for a cot bed, 1 family room (able to sleep 4). Each room has it's own T.V., Fridge, Tea and Coffee facilities & hair dryer. All our rooms are available for long & short stays. Families or Individuals, Business or Leisure all are welcome at any time. Lindens also caters for the disabled which includes wheelchair access, stair lift for those who cannot manage the stairs, bath hoist in the main bathroom and disabled equipment if required. Lindens has a large garden with swimming pool (summer only use), sauna and ample private parking. 
Stonebarrow Manor is ideally placed for day excursions into East Devon or east to the Georgian town of Bridport and “Hardy†country to Dorchester. There are several beaches nearby and many wonderful walks across the cliffs or local paths and nature reserves. Local leisure facilities include a covered heated pool, Golf, Sailing, Tennis, Deep Sea Fishing and Diving; Fly fishing, Coarse Fishing and Horse Riding across Golden Cap. Organised Fossil Hunts are regularly available. A little further a field are the unique Chesil Beach, Abbotsbury, with its Swannery and sub-tropical gardens, and the bustling resort of Weymouth. There is a wonderful Saturday street “Brocante†market in Bridport. Axminster, Dorchester and Honiton are excellent hunting grounds for antiques, old and rare books etc.

This charming Victorian villa, built in 1875, is ideally located on the A30 at the top of the High Street, but in a quiet position, set back some 50 metres along our own private driveway. Within our 10 comfortable bedrooms we offer a wide range of high quality bed and breakfast accommodation, suitable for both short and longer stays for either business or leisure. Our dedication to hospitality, cleanliness and customer service has resulted in us being awarded for seven consecutive years, the accolade from the AA of a ' Highly Commended ' guest house. The historic town of Chard is an ideal base for exploring the many delights of Somerset, Devon and Dorset or for breaking the long journey to Cornwall. The Jurassic Coastline (for the keen fossil hunter!) and the ever-popular River Cottage are both within a scenic 25 minute drive.
